Welcome to the Website of Linlithgow Scottish Country Dance Club.

Our Club is looking forward to starting its 35th season and to continuing to provide a friendly and welcoming environment for dancers of all abilities and experience to enjoy Scottish Country Dancing.

Our regular weekly meetings are on Fridays, and we will be adopting a new starting time of 7.30pm this year.

The first Club Night will be on Friday, 5 September, and the season continues through to mid April, with short breaks for Christmas and Easter. Our regular meeting place is in Chalmers Hall, Linlithgow Bridge.
Unfamiliar dances are walked through initially, with more familiar ones being called or recapped and the music is provided from CDs. We take a short break for tea/coffee/ juice midway through the evening and resume dancing until about 10pm.

On four occasions this season, we will be engaging dance bands to provide music for live accompaniment to dancing, and supper refreshments are usually provided at these events. Dance programmes are published here well in advance. We also support classes for those who feel they may want to learn a bit more about basic dance formations and terms. These classes are held on Wednesdays in Springfield Primary School from 17 September to 26 November 2014, and from 14 January to 18 March 2015. See the Classes page.
